What is the ADA Foundation?
The American Dietetic Association Foundation was established in 1966 and is the only charitable organization devoted exclusively to promoting good nutrition. ADAF exists as the philanthropic arm of the American Dietetic Association.

The ADA Foundation enjoys a unique position as the philanthropic organization dedicated to serving the 66,000 plus members of the American Dietetic Association — the largest organization of food and nutrition professionals — and their 35 million patients and clients.
Governance
The ADA Foundation is governed by a 13-member board of directors that includes the President-Elect, Financial Officer and CEO of the American Dietetic Association as well as up to five public members.
Operating Budget
The ADA Foundation manages over $7 million in endowed support for scholarships, awards, research, public awareness and operations. These named funds have been established by both individuals and industry. In addition, the Foundation raises approximately $1.4 million each year to support fundraising and grant making activities.
