ADA Foundation Nutrition Symposium
The Food Supply as a Catalyst to Healthful Behavior Change: Making Food to Meet Nutritional and Consumer Needs
...Presented by the Almond Board of California

The overarching objectives of this four hour session are to: Discuss the role of the food supply in encouraging healthful behavior change, Describe the consumer trends that are driving how and what consumers eat, Outline the emerging nutrition science that has potential to influence the food we eat, Describe the process of food product development and explain how nutrition science can be married with consumer trends to deliver innovative, functional food. Presenters will provide unique insights on how nutrition science is married with consumer trends to lead to new product development and will raise the question: should we be looking to change the food supply as much as we are hoping to change consumer behavior? Attendees will be engaged in an interactive activity to apply the concepts discussed. $15 registration fee. Space is limited. CPE Level 2, CPE Credit 4.0.
